Here for Milton
Edie Strachan is your Ontario NDP candidate for Milton, ready to make life easier and more affordable for every member of our community.
Through over 30 years in the Public Service in various roles, including in Ontario Public Service Employees Union, Community Development Halton, and the Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers, Edie has focused on championing fair work practices and upholding workers' rights.
Choosing Milton for its strong community spirit over two decades ago, Edie has been deeply involved in local initiatives. Her contributions through the Oakville and District Labour Council, from advocating for workers' rights to providing free health & safety training, highlight her commitment to social and racial justice.
Now, alongside Marit Stiles and the Ontario NDP team, Edie is ready to tackle the pressing challenges we face: soaring costs of living, the need for affordable housing, and making sure our healthcare system works for everyone. After years under a government that prioritizes insiders over everyday Ontarians, she is determined to bring transparency, accountability, and compassion to Queen’s Park, focusing on what matters most to everyday Ontarians.
Living in Milton, Edie is not just a candidate but a neighbor, driven by a vision for a fairer province. She's stepping up because she believes in an Ontario where everyone has a fair chance at a good life – and she knows we can get there together.
